So, what is tyttebær?
Tyttebær, also known as lingonberries, are a small red fruit native to Scandinavian regions. These tart berries are often used in traditional dishes such as Swedish meatballs or served as a side dish to cut through the richness of fatty foods. They are also commonly used in preserves, jams, and sauces due to their high pectin content. Tyttebær are rich in antioxidants, vitamin C, and fiber, making them a healthy addition to any diet. With their unique flavor profile, they add a touch of tanginess to any dish they are included in.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
