So, what is vehnää?
Vehnää is a Finnish word that translates to "wheat" in English. This versatile ingredient is a staple in many traditional Finnish dishes and is widely used in the country's cuisine. Wheat contains gluten, making it an important ingredient for baking bread, pastries, and pasta. In addition to being a source of carbohydrates, wheat also provides essential nutrients such as fiber, B vitamins, and minerals like iron and magnesium. Whether used in hearty soups or delicate desserts, vehnää adds flavor, texture, and nutritional value to any dish.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
