So, what is vitamina k?
Vitamin K is a fat-soluble nutrient that plays a crucial role in blood clotting and bone health. There are two main types of vitamin K: K1 and K2. K1, also known as phylloquinone, is found in leafy green vegetables and is the primary dietary source of vitamin K. K2, on the other hand, is produced by bacteria in the gut and is also found in fermented foods. Vitamin K deficiency can lead to bleeding disorders and weakened bones. However, excessive intake of vitamin K can interfere with blood-thinning medications.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
