So, what is xilitolo?
Xylitol is a naturally occurring sugar alcohol that is commonly used as a sugar substitute in foods and beverages. It has a sweet taste similar to sugar but with fewer calories and a lower glycemic index. Xylitol is derived from plant sources such as birch trees and corn cobs and is safe for consumption by diabetics and individuals following a low-carbohydrate diet. Additionally, xylitol has been shown to have dental benefits, including reducing the risk of tooth decay and promoting oral health. It can be found in a variety of products, including chewing gum, mints, and baked goods.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
