So, what is black truffles?
Black truffles, also known as "diamonds of the kitchen," are a prized and luxurious ingredient in the culinary world. These rare and aromatic fungi grow underground in symbiosis with certain tree roots, such as oak and hazelnut, and are found in regions like Italy, France, and Spain. The exterior of the truffle is covered in a rough, black skin, while the interior is marbled with intricate veins of white. When shaved or grated over dishes, black truffles impart a rich, earthy, and slightly nutty flavor that can elevate even the simplest of meals to new heights of decadence.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
