So, what is carbonates de sodiums?
Sodium carbonates, also known as washing soda, are versatile food ingredients with a range of culinary and chemical applications. They are white, odorless, and water-soluble compounds that are commonly used as leavening agents in baking, as well as in the production of glass, soaps, and detergents. In food, sodium carbonates can be used as a pH regulator, firming agent, and emulsifier, among other functions. They are generally recognized as safe (GRAS) by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and are widely available for purchase online and in stores.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
