So, what is cebolletas?
Cebolletas, also known as spring onions or scallions, are a member of the Allium family and have a delicate flavor that is slightly milder than regular onions. These elongated, green-topped onions are harvested in the early stages of growth, making them smaller and sweeter. They are commonly used in Asian and Mexican cuisine, where their mild onion taste adds a fresh, crisp element to dishes. Cebolletas can be enjoyed both raw and cooked; they can be grilled, roasted, pickled, or used as a garnish. With their unique flavor profile, cebolletas can elevate any dish, adding depth and complexity to your culinary creations.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
