So, what is cukurs?
Cukurs, also known as sugar in English, is a sweet, crystalline substance that is widely used as a sweetener in various food and beverage products. It is derived from the juice of sugar cane or sugar beet and is available in various forms such as granulated, powdered, or brown sugar. Cukurs is a versatile ingredient that not only adds sweetness to recipes but also plays a key role in various baking processes such as caramelization and fermentation. However, excessive consumption of cukurs may have negative effects on health, and alternatives such as honey or stevia may be used as substitutes.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
