So, what is cup mushrooms?
Cup mushrooms, also known as button mushrooms, are small and round mushrooms with a mild flavor and delicate texture. They are the most common type of mushroom and can be found in grocery stores year-round. Cup mushrooms are versatile and can be used in a variety of dishes, from stir-fries to salads, soups, and sauces. They are also an excellent source of nutrients, including vitamin D, potassium, and selenium. When selecting cup mushrooms, look for firm, smooth caps with no signs of discoloration or mold. Store them in a paper bag in the refrigerator for up to a week.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
