So, what is dextros?
Dextrose, also known as glucose, is a simple sugar derived from corn starch or other sources. It is commonly used as a sweetener in the food industry, as well as a source of quick energy for athletes and people with low blood sugar levels. Dextrose is also used in baking to help yeast rise, and in the production of various food products, such as jams, jellies, and candies. As a highly soluble and versatile ingredient, dextrose can be found in a wide range of foods, from sports drinks to processed meats, and is often used in combination with other sweeteners to achieve a desired taste or texture.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
