So, what is daktyle?
Daktyle, also known as dates, are sweet and chewy fruits that grow on the date palm tree in tropical regions. These small, oblong-shaped fruits have a rich, caramel-like flavor that makes them a popular ingredient in Middle Eastern and North African cuisine. They are a good source of fiber, potassium, and antioxidants, and are often used to sweeten desserts or to add natural sweetness to savory dishes. Daktyle can be eaten on their own as a healthy snack, or they can be chopped and added to salads, granolas, and baked goods for an extra burst of flavor and nutrition.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
