So, what is farine mais?
Farine de maïs, or cornmeal, is a finely ground powder made from dried corn. It is a versatile ingredient commonly used in many different culinary traditions around the world, including American Southern cuisine, Latin American dishes, and Italian polenta. Farine de maïs comes in various textures, including fine, medium, and coarse, and can be used to make a variety of dishes, such as cornbread, tortillas, tamales, and porridge. This gluten-free ingredient is a good source of fiber, vitamins, and minerals, and can add a delicious and distinct flavor to your recipes.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
