So, what is gluten de blè?
Gluten de blè, also known as wheat gluten, is a protein-rich powder derived from wheat. It is commonly used in baking and cooking to improve the texture and elasticity of dough, as well as to enhance the protein content of vegetarian and vegan dishes. Gluten de blè is particularly useful for making bread, as it helps the dough rise and hold its shape during baking. It is also a popular ingredient in seitan, a meat substitute made from wheat gluten. While gluten de blè can be a valuable addition to many recipes, those with celiac disease or gluten sensitivity should avoid it, as it can cause digestive issues.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
