So, what is lactase enzymes?

Lactase enzymes are protein molecules that catalyze the hydrolysis of lactose, a sugar found in milk and dairy products, into its constituent components, glucose and galactose. These enzymes are produced by many organisms, including humans, and are essential for the digestion of lactose in people with lactose intolerance. Lactase enzymes can also be produced commercially and added to dairy products to make them more digestible for those who are lactose intolerant. Lactase enzymes have a wide range of applications in the food industry and are often used in the production of cheese, yogurt, and other dairy products.
