So, what is oyster mushrooms?
Oyster mushrooms are a type of edible fungi that have a distinct, delicate flavor and velvety texture. These mushrooms grow in clusters, resembling the shape of an oyster shell, hence their name. They are available in a range of colors from creamy beige to pale gray or brown. Oyster mushrooms are commonly used in Asian cuisine, particularly in stir-fries and soups, but also make a tasty addition to pasta dishes and risottos. Not only are they delicious, but oyster mushrooms are also a great source of protein, fiber, and essential vitamins and minerals.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
