So, what is potimarrons?
Potimarrons, also known as Red Kuri squash, are a type of winter squash that originated in Japan. These small to medium-sized squashes have a distinctive teardrop shape and a deep red-orange color, with a slightly curved stem on top. The flesh is dense and sweet, with a nutty flavor that is reminiscent of chestnuts. Potimarrons are a versatile ingredient in the kitchen, suitable for roasting, baking, and pureeing for soups and sauces. They are also a good source of fiber, potassium, and vitamin A, making them a nutritious addition to any meal.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
