So, what is aceite y colza?
Aceite de colza, also known as canola oil, is a vegetable oil derived from rapeseed. The name "canola" was derived from the words "Canada" and "ola," which means "oil low in acid." Canola oil is a popular choice for cooking due to its neutral taste and high smoke point. It is low in saturated fat and high in monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats, which are beneficial for heart health. Canola oil is also a good source of vitamin E, an antioxidant that helps protect the body from damage caused by free radicals.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
