So, what is acide acétiqué?
Acide acétique, or acetic acid in English, is a clear, colorless liquid with a pungent, vinegar-like odor. It is commonly used as a food preservative and flavoring agent, as well as in the production of various chemicals and plastics. Acetic acid is also a key component in the production of vinegar, which is made by fermenting alcohol with bacteria that produce acetic acid. Despite its strong odor and sour taste, acetic acid is an important ingredient in many foods and beverages, providing the distinctive tanginess that many people crave.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
