So, what is acidi grassi?
Acidi grassi is the Italian term for "fatty acids." These organic compounds are essential to the human body, providing energy and aiding in the absorption of vitamins and minerals. Fatty acids can be found in a variety of foods, including fish, nuts, and oils. They are classified as either saturated or unsaturated, with the latter being further divided into monounsaturated and polyunsaturated. While saturated fatty acids have been linked to an increased risk of heart disease, unsaturated fatty acids are considered healthy and can even help lower cholesterol levels.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
