So, what is adipic acid?
Adipic acid is a white crystalline powder that is commonly used as a food ingredient, particularly in the production of baked goods and confectionery. It is a dicarboxylic acid that has a slightly tart taste and is known for its ability to enhance the flavor and texture of foods. Adipic acid is also used in the production of nylon and other synthetic fibers, as well as in the manufacturing of plastics and coatings. Despite its various industrial applications, adipic acid is generally considered safe for consumption and is approved by regulatory agencies around the world.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
