So, what is tapioca flour?
Tapioca flour is a starchy white flour made from the cassava root. It is a popular gluten-free alternative to wheat flour, commonly used in baking, thickening sauces and soups, and making traditional dishes such as tapioca pudding. Tapioca flour is very fine and has a slightly sweet taste, which makes it ideal for use in delicate desserts and pastries. It is also known for its ability to add a chewy texture to dishes. Additionally, tapioca flour is rich in carbohydrates and provides a good source of energy.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
