So, what is advantame?
Advantame is an artificial sweetener that is similar in taste to aspartame, but is more potent and has a longer shelf life. It is derived from vanillin and aspartame, and has zero calories. Advantame is approximately 20,000 times sweeter than table sugar, making it a popular choice for use in low-calorie foods and beverages. It is also heat stable, meaning it can be used in baking and other high-temperature applications. Despite its many benefits, some research suggests that advantame may have negative effects on gut bacteria, so it's important to use it in moderation.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
