So, what is arveja?
Arveja, also known as "green pea" in English, is a small, spherical-shaped legume with a bright green color and a mild, slightly sweet flavor. Arvejas are commonly eaten whole, either fresh or cooked, and are an excellent source of protein, fiber, and essential vitamins and minerals. These versatile legumes can be added to a wide variety of dishes, including soups, stews, salads, and pastas, or even mashed up to make dips and spreads. In addition to being a nutritious ingredient, arvejas are also a sustainable crop that can help support healthy soil and ecosystems.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
