So, what is ayçiçek yağı?
Ayçiçek yağı, also known as sunflower oil, is a popular cooking oil extracted from the seeds of the sunflower plant native to North America. This light and neutral-tasting oil is rich in vitamin E and has a high smoke point, making it a versatile ingredient for frying, roasting, and baking. It's commonly used in Turkish cuisine for salad dressings, marinades, and sautéing vegetables. Ayçiçek yağı is also a healthier alternative to other vegetable oils due to its low levels of saturated fats and high levels of unsaturated fatty acids.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
