So, what is benzoato di sodio?
Benzoato di sodio, also known as sodium benzoate, is a white crystalline powder with a slightly bitter and salty taste. It is commonly used as a food preservative due to its ability to inhibit the growth of bacteria, yeast, and mold. Sodium benzoate is commonly found in acidic foods, such as soft drinks, fruit juices, and pickles. It is also used in some medications, cosmetics, and personal care products. While generally considered safe for consumption, some people may experience an allergic reaction or sensitivity to sodium benzoate.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
