So, what is bietole?
Bietole, also known as Swiss chard, is a versatile leafy green vegetable that belongs to the same family as beets and spinach. With its large, glossy, and brightly colored leaves, bietole has a unique, slightly bitter taste that complements a variety of dishes. Rich in vitamins A, C, and K, as well as magnesium and potassium, bietole is a nutrient-dense ingredient that offers numerous health benefits. Whether sautéed, braised, or used in salads, bietole adds a flavorful and colorful element to any meal.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
