So, what is blue whiting?

Blue whiting, also known as Micromesistius poutassou, is a cold-water fish that's found in the Northeastern Atlantic Ocean. With a length of up to 70 centimeters, it has a slender body and silvery skin with blue-green hues. Its flesh is white, lean, and flaky with a mild flavor that's similar to cod or haddock. Blue whiting is low in fat and high in protein, making it an excellent choice for healthy diets. This versatile fish can be grilled, baked, fried, or used in soups and stews. It's also a popular ingredient in fish fingers and other processed fish products.
