So, what is brilliant black?
Brilliant Black is a food coloring agent that adds a striking black hue to various food products. This water-soluble dye is derived from coal tar and is commonly used in confectionery, soft drinks, and baked goods. The intensity of the color depends on the quantity of dye added to the product. It is often used in combination with other food colors to achieve a specific shade or tone. Brilliant Black is recognized as safe for consumption by regulatory bodies around the world, including the FDA in the United States.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
