So, what is brown rice flour?
Brown rice flour is a nutritious gluten-free ingredient made from finely ground whole grain brown rice. It has a slightly nutty flavor and a sandy texture that adds depth and complexity to baked goods. As a whole grain flour, brown rice flour retains more of the bran and germ than its refined counterpart, providing more fiber and nutrients like magnesium, phosphorus, and B vitamins. Brown rice flour can be used as a healthier alternative to wheat flour in recipes such as bread, pancakes, and muffins. It is also commonly used in gluten-free baking, making it an excellent choice for those with celiac disease or gluten intolerance.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
