So, what is canelle?
Canelle, also known as "cinnamon stick," is a spice that is commonly used in cooking and baking. It comes from the inner bark of the Cinnamomum tree and is dried and rolled into a stick shape. Canelle has a warm, sweet, and slightly spicy flavor that adds depth to both sweet and savory dishes. It is a popular ingredient in desserts like cinnamon rolls, apple pie, and rice pudding, as well as in savory dishes like curries and stews. Canelle is also believed to have health benefits, such as regulating blood sugar levels and improving brain function.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
