So, what is cider?

Cider is a fermented drink made from apples, offering a refreshing and complex flavor profile that is both tart and sweet. Unlike apple juice, cider has an alcoholic content that can range from mild to robust. Cider is made by crushing apples and allowing their natural sugars to ferment with yeast. The resulting drink can be still or sparkling, and may also be flavored with additional fruits, spices, or hops. With its crisp taste and ability to pair well with a variety of foods, cider has become a popular beverage choice around the world, particularly during the autumn months when apples are in season.

How to quickly find the source of ingredients like cider?

We've built a database of 49359 ingredients (and growing), classified as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "maybe vegan".

We use it in our vegan ingredients scanner, which is the best way to avoid non-vegan ingredients - you take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
