So, what is d-gluconic acid?
D-gluconic acid is a naturally-occurring organic acid that is commonly used as a food additive and acidity regulator. It is derived from glucose, a simple sugar found in many foods. D-gluconic acid has a mild taste and is often used to enhance the flavor of food products. In addition, it is highly soluble in water and can be easily absorbed by the body. This versatile ingredient is also used in cleaning products and pharmaceuticals due to its antibacterial properties.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
