So, what is de alcohol?
De alcohol, also known as denatured alcohol or methylated spirits, is a clear, colorless, and flammable liquid that is commonly used as a solvent, fuel, and cleaning agent. Unlike consumable ethanol, de alcohol has been treated with chemicals to make it unsuitable for human consumption, typically by adding small amounts of poisonous substances such as methanol or denatonium. De alcohol is commonly used in industries such as healthcare, automotive, and construction for cleaning, disinfecting, and degreasing purposes. It can also be found in some household products such as antifreeze, paint thinner, and stove fuel. However, due to its toxic nature, de alcohol should be handled with care and stored in a well-ventilated area away from heat sources and flames.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
