So, what is dihydrocholesterol?

Dihydrocholesterol is a type of cholesterol that is produced in the skin when it is exposed to sunlight. It is a precursor to vitamin D3 and is important for maintaining healthy bones and teeth. Dihydrocholesterol is also found in some foods, including fish and dairy products. It is a steroid alcohol that is structurally similar to cholesterol, but with one less double bond. While dihydrocholesterol has some health benefits, high levels of cholesterol in the blood can lead to health problems like heart disease, stroke, and high blood pressure.
