So, what is durum tarwe?
Durum tarwe is a type of wheat that is primarily used for making pasta, couscous, and other traditional Middle Eastern and Mediterranean dishes. It is a hard wheat variety that has a high protein content, which gives it a firm texture and a nutty, slightly sweet flavor. The durum tarwe kernel is amber-colored and has a high gluten content, making it ideal for making dough that can be rolled out thinly without breaking. In addition to being a popular ingredient in many dishes, durum tarwe is also a good source of fiber, vitamins, and minerals.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
