So, what is et safran?
Et safran, or saffron in English, is a highly prized spice that is commonly used in cooking for its distinctive flavor, vibrant color, and medicinal properties. It is derived from the stigmas of the crocus flower and is known for its intense aroma and earthy, floral taste. Saffron is commonly used in various cuisines, such as Indian, Middle Eastern, and Mediterranean, and is often used to flavor dishes such as rice, soups, and stews. Apart from its culinary uses, saffron is also used in traditional medicine for its anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer, and mood-enhancing properties.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
