So, what is ferments lactiques .?
Ferments lactiques, also known as lactic acid bacteria, are a type of beneficial bacteria commonly used in food production. These bacteria convert lactose and other sugars into lactic acid, which helps to preserve and flavor food. Ferments lactiques can be found in a variety of dairy products, including yogurt, kefir, and cheese, as well as in fermented vegetables, such as sauerkraut and kimchi. In addition to their role in food production, ferments lactiques are also used as probiotics to support digestive health and boost the immune system.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
