So, what is ferrohexacyanomanganate?
Ferrohexacyanomanganate, also known as Prussian blue, is a deep blue pigment that is commonly used in painting and printing applications. However, this compound has also been found to have various medical applications, including as an antidote for certain types of heavy metal poisoning and as a diagnostic tool for gastrointestinal disorders. Ferrohexacyanomanganate works by binding to heavy metals in the body, allowing them to be safely excreted. As a food ingredient, it may have potential as a natural food colorant due to its intense blue hue.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
