So, what is gingembre?
Gingembre, also known as ginger, is a flavorful and aromatic root that has been used for both culinary and medicinal purposes for thousands of years. It has a distinct spicy and slightly sweet taste, and can be used fresh, dried, powdered, or as a juice or oil. Ginger contains a number of beneficial compounds such as gingerol, shogaol, and zingerone, which are believed to have anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anti-cancer properties. It is commonly used in dishes such as stir-fries, curries, and baked goods, and is also often used to make tea or as a natural remedy for nausea, indigestion, and other ailments.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
