So, what is glucose and fructose syrup?

Glucose and fructose syrup, also known as high-fructose corn syrup, is a popular sweetener commonly used in processed foods and beverages. It is made from corn starch through a process that converts glucose to fructose, resulting in a sweeter syrup. This ingredient has a similar taste to sugar, but is cheaper to produce and has a longer shelf life. However, high consumption of this syrup has been linked to health issues such as obesity and diabetes. As a result, some food manufacturers have started to use alternative sweeteners in their products.
