So, what is glükóz-fruktózszörp?
Glükóz-fruktózszörp, also known as high-fructose corn syrup, is a sweetener derived from corn starch. It is commonly used in processed foods and beverages as a substitute for traditional sugars. This syrup is created by breaking down corn starch into glucose, then further processing to convert some of that glucose into fructose. The resulting syrup is sweeter than regular sugar and has a longer shelf life. Despite controversy over its potential health effects, glükóz-fruktózszörp remains a popular ingredient in many food products.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
