So, what is guanilato dissódico?
Guanilato dissódico, also known as disodium guanylate, is a food additive commonly used as a flavor enhancer. It is made by combining guanylic acid, a natural substance found in many foods such as mushrooms and fish, with sodium carbonate. Guanilato dissódico is often used in conjunction with other flavor enhancers, such as monosodium glutamate (MSG), to create a more robust and savory taste in processed foods like snacks, instant noodles, and soups. While generally considered safe for consumption, some people may experience adverse reactions to guanilato dissódico, especially if they are sensitive to MSG or have pre-existing health conditions.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
