So, what is vino de oporto?
Vino de Oporto, also known as Port wine, is a fortified wine originating from the Douro Valley in Portugal. Made from a blend of grape varieties, the wine is fortified with brandy during the fermentation process, which increases the alcohol content and stops the fermentation, leaving residual sugars. The result is a rich, sweet, and full-bodied wine with complex flavors of black fruit, caramel, and nuts. Vino de Oporto is typically aged in oak barrels for several years, which further enhances its character and depth. It is often enjoyed as an after-dinner drink and pairs well with rich desserts, cheese, and chocolate.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
