So, what is guanylan sodný?
Guanylan sodný, also known as sodium guanylate, is a food additive commonly used as a flavor enhancer. It is a sodium salt of guanylic acid, a natural nucleotide found in various foods such as mushrooms, fish, and yeast. Guanylan sodný works synergistically with other flavor enhancers, such as monosodium glutamate (MSG), to enhance umami taste in food. It is often added to processed foods, snacks, and soups to improve their flavor and palatability. Despite being a safe and widely used food additive, it may cause allergic reactions in some individuals.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
