So, what is karkadeblüten?
Karkadeblüten, also known as hibiscus flowers, are a unique and flavorful ingredient commonly used in Middle Eastern and North African cuisines. These vibrant, crimson flowers have a tangy, tart flavor that is slightly reminiscent of cranberries, and add a beautiful pop of color to any dish. Karkadeblüten are often brewed into a tea, but can also be used in a variety of culinary applications, from sweet jams and jellies to savory stews and marinades. Rich in antioxidants and Vitamin C, karkadeblüten offer both a delicious and healthful addition to any recipe.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
