So, what is karotinoide?
Karotenoids are a group of naturally occurring pigments found in various fruits and vegetables, including carrots, tomatoes, and sweet potatoes. These compounds are responsible for giving these foods their vibrant colors and also possess antioxidant properties, helping to protect cells from damage caused by free radicals. Some of the most common karotenoids include beta-carotene, lycopene, and lutein, all of which are associated with numerous health benefits, such as reducing the risk of certain cancers and improving eye health. In addition to being found in whole foods, karotenoids are also available as supplements and are often added to processed foods as a natural coloring agent.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
