So, what is lactato de potássio?
Lactato de potássio is a food-grade salt derived from lactic acid, which occurs naturally in milk and other fermented foods. This ingredient is commonly used as a food preservative, pH regulator and flavor enhancer in a variety of products such as cheese, baked goods, processed meats, and beverages. It has a slightly sour taste and is highly soluble in water. Lactato de potássio is considered safe for consumption by regulatory authorities, and it has been studied for its potential health benefits, including improving bone health and reducing inflammation.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
