So, what is lactato?
Lactato, also known as lactate, is a naturally occurring salt of lactic acid. It is commonly found in dairy products such as yogurt, cheese, and sour cream, as well as in other fermented foods like sauerkraut and pickles. Lactato has a slightly sour taste and is often used as a food additive to enhance flavor and extend shelf life. It also plays an important role in the human body, serving as an energy source for muscles and helping to regulate pH levels. Due to its versatility and health benefits, lactato is widely used in the food industry as well as in medicine and sports nutrition.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
