So, what is lovage?
Lovage is a perennial herb with a unique flavor that is often compared to celery or parsley. It has a distinctive aroma that is both sweet and spicy, making it a popular ingredient in soups, stews, and sauces. Lovage is also used to add flavor to meats, salads, and dressings, and its leaves can be used as a garnish for cocktails. Apart from its culinary uses, lovage has been traditionally used for medicinal purposes, such as to aid digestion, relieve menstrual cramps, and reduce inflammation. It is a low-calorie food ingredient that is high in vitamins and minerals, including vitamin C, vitamin A, calcium, and potassium.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
