So, what is manioc starch?
Manioc starch, also known as cassava starch, is a versatile and gluten-free ingredient that is commonly used in various culinary applications. Derived from the root of the cassava plant, manioc starch is a fine, white powder that is rich in carbohydrates and has a neutral flavor. It is often used as a thickener in soups, sauces, and stews, as well as a binder in baked goods, such as bread, cakes, and cookies. Additionally, manioc starch is popular in Latin American and African cuisine, where it is used to make traditional dishes like tapioca pudding and fufu.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
